All about the U16 boys´ tournament

The 2018 Ball Hockey Junior World Cup starts next Thursday, June 28, and over the course of four days, 10 teams of young ball hockey players from all over the world will battle each other for precious medals. Read below to see how the tournament is structured.
 

Everything starts on Thursday, 28 June with the first group-stage games. The 10 teams are divided into two groups of five – Group A consists of Czech Republic U15, Slovakia, Great Britain, Red and East Canada, while Group B includes Czech Republic U16, Poland, Switzerland, USA Blue and Canada West.

In the group stage, each team plays all other teams in its group once for a total of four games, after which the teams will be ranked according to points to determine which playoff game they will advance to. On the last day of the tournament, the 10 teams will be paired up against the team that finished in the same place in the opposite group.

All Group A games will be played in Přerov and Group B games in Zlín. With the exception of the game for 9th place, PSG Arena will host all final placement games.
