What do you have to say about the game against Canada East? My teammates played very well. They helped me so much, they blocked a lot of shots and made it easier for me. That was really our best game today. I´m so proud of them.
You got shutout. What can you tell us about it? Was it your first at a high-level world tournament? Yeah, I got some shutouts back home, but it´s seriously rare to get a shutout at a world tournament like this, especially against a Canadian team. They´re always tough to play against. I can´t believe it just happened. I´m really happy and I´ll celebrate it with guys in the locker room.
What was the deciding factor in the game? Yourself or the work of the whole team? Oh, definitely the team. They created lots of chances, so this is more their win. I made quite a few saves, but everybody played unbelievable.
Did your defencemen help you out much much? They were amazing. Like I said, they helped me by blocking shots. They were at their best in this game. I can´t say enough about them.
Was it close, or were you the better team today? I think anybody who watched it would have to say that it was a really close game, like always.
So, what was the biggest reason that you won? Our perseverance and our belief that we can win. We were training hard and mainly, we really prepared ourselves well, and as a result of that, we beat Canada.
Is Canada a big rival? Tell us something about this rivalry. Sure, Canada is a huge rival. Games against them are the best ones and also the hardest ones. I always enjoy it.
