Poles with first win, finish 9th after beating GB

1. 7. 2018 | Derek O´Brien
In the last game of the tournament for both teams, the Poles got their first win of the U16 Junior World Cup by beating Great Britain 5-1 to claim ninth place. Arkadiusz Guzik led the offence with two goals and one assist. In their first-ever world tournament, the British team finished 10th but gained a lot of valuable experience along the way.

Coach of Great Britain: "We may have been a little unfortunate that we were unable to convert the chances we had. We have a lot of good players who played great, but we need to gain more experience and learn how to play better tactically. We have improved during the tournament; we really enjoyed it."

Coach of Poland: "It was an important game for us, the guys played well and we achieved our goal of defeating Great Britain. It was a good tournament and we will continue to improve. We will see you in a year!"
