The U20 game between Canada and Great Britain was one of the most important for the overall standings in the women´s group. But Canadians, as pre-game favourites, struggled with shot accuracy, waiting nearly nine minutes before scoring their first goal. From that moment, the Canadians were superior and maintained the lead the rest of the way. In the second period, Canada continued to dominate and scored three times. In the end, they routed the British women 6-0.

Jake Wakefield and Stuart Jackson. Two names every British ball hockey fan should be familiar with. They participated in Bratislava in 2014 in the U16 category at the unbelievable age of 11, and now they´re playing at their third Junior World Cup in Prerov. "When we were building our programme, these two guys stepped up. They´re both playing above their age level," says Stuart Wilson, one of the GB coaches. Now these two very talented guys sat down and spoke about their experience.

Currently unbeaten USA Red entered Saturday´s game unbeaten and wanted to continue in their streak against Slovakia, but the Slovaks started strong and got the lead quickly. Although the Americans showed great effort and were the better team for most of the game, the Slovaks were able to extend their lead in the dying moments of the first period. USA Red cut the Slovak lead in half in the middle period, however, the Slovaks were able to hold on for a 2-1 victory.

With both teams already knowing they´ll be facing each other in tomorrow´s bronze-medal game, this last group-stage game between the United States and Slovakia was merely a warm-up with little intensity. But the Slovaks were the better team, bouncing back from the loss to Canada to give them confidence. A power-play goal in the seventh minute Nikoleta Randova was all the offence Slovakia would need in a 1-0 win.

After a late game collapse against Canada, where they gave up three goals in the dying minutes to lose 7-5, the Slovaks bounced back with a big effort against the United States, winning 2-1 in a totally different kind of game. Goalkeeper Daniel Ďuris played a big part in the result.

In the last game of the group stage, Canada East came up with a big 13-0 win over Great Britain. Several Canadian players scored twice, but n hat-tricks were recorded. It was the last game for the Brits, which didn´t win any games, but it was a great experience for them. Despite the win for the Eastern Canadians, they won´t play the final, as they finished third in the group stage.

A clash between two future finalists, the Czech Republic and Canada, concluded the group phase of the women´s tournament. The game was fast-paced, as expected, but the defence of both teams played a major role. The fans had to wait until the third period before seeing the game´s only goal by forward Barbora Patockova on a Czech power play, and opened the scoring sheet. That was all they would need as the team´s defence and goaltender Tepla took care of the rest.

The last game of men´s tournament and the Friday´s programme was a duel between the Czech U15 team and USA Red. The game featured an amazing tempo from its first moments, with both teams giving it all they could. The Czechs were great all around, and thanks to that they took the lead before the first break. But the Americans absolutely dominated the middle period, turned the game around, and finished with a 5-2 win.

The last game of the group stage played in Zlín featured a game between the Czech Republic and the Canada West. On the lie was a trip to the final for the winner and a bronze-medal game for the loser. Canada led 4-2 early in the second period, but the Czechs battled back to lead by a goal after two periods. The teams went back and forth all night, with Kaidan Johnson´s overtime goal finally sending the Canadians to the final.

The big game started on Friday morning between former federal rivals Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The Slovaks were favoured and they confirmed it. It was nice game with huge chances both ways. Slovakia took big 3-0 lead in the second period, but the Czechs then woke up and scored two goals. At the end of the second period the Czechs came close to tying the game when Lhota hit the post. In the last period Slovaks satrted again and they scored another two goals and that was deciding. Slovaks were running whole match and they were very unpleasure. They deserved their win against Czech republic. At the end Czechs tryied to play without goalie behind, but they didnt score and the final score is 5-2.

The Slovakian women faced off against Great Britain on Friday morning, and the game started quickly, with several chances on both sides. The Slovaks were better, but they couldn´t score a goal. It broke at the end of the first period, when Slovaks scored three goals in very short time. Britains started second period very slowly, so they got another four balls in their net. Both teams knew the result is long time ago decided. Slovaks played very passivly. And what happend? Brits advantaged this an they were succesfull. Alexandra West got big achievement. She has scored first ever Britain goal on Women World Cup. Whole team wa happy. Whole stadium was screaming. Someting special. Although Brits had a lot of brakes, they couldn ´t score any more and the final score is 1-9

Friday brought a duel between USA Red and Team Great Britain was a clash between two teams on the different sides of the expectation table. While USA Red dominated the tournament so far and have a chance to win the gold, the Brits do not have any big goals. But the game did not start as expected, with the Americans having trouble breaking through the British defensive wall. However, USA Red finally scored in the middle of the opening period, and it was their show from then on. The Brits tried to fight back, but USA Red won with ease, 7-1.

The second day of world championship brought a contender for the very best game of the tournament, and again it featured Canada East, this time against Slovakia. Really offensive, fast-paced and tough game was full of heated situations, with Canada being victorious in the end by a score of 7-5. One of the most active players in the game, Canadian forward Justin Leclerc, described this clash of two great teams.

Top seeds Canada and Slovakia faced off on Friday afternoon, in what some expect to be a preview of the final. It was a very fast and flowing game, with several lead changes and even some fisticuffs. Trailing 5-4 in the third period, Canada scored three late goals for a thrilling 7-5 win.

It was the third game for the Americans and the second for the Canadians. In a game with plenty of chances, only two goals were scored, and both by Canada, who ran their record to 2-0, both shutouts. Kennedy Wheelan scored the first goal late in the first period and Megan Hurell late in the second. After that, it was all up to goaltender Serena Vilde, who stopped everything.

For Slovaks and Czechs, it doesn´t exist more prestigious than the "federal derby" and for the U20 national teams at the Junior World Cup, the two teams from the former Czechoslovakia went head to head, with the Czechs having few problems with a 7-0 win.
